The number of Brits turning to a plant-based or flexitarian diet is growing at a startling rate[i] and this trend has been boosted by world events in 2020, with a third more people eating more vegan food due to the pandemic[ii]. A recent poll by Finder.com suggests that the number of UK vegans is expected to have doubled between Jan 2020-2021, increasing the UK’s vegan population to approximately 2.2 million.
As veganism is expected to go truly mainstream in 2021, Heinz, one of the UK’s favourite food brands, is extending its plant-based portfolio in a mission to make vegan and flexitarian food more accessible for all.
Which is why the brand has decided to kick off Veganuary 2021 in style with the launch of a new range of vegan sauces, joining vegan classics such as Heinz Beanz and Heinz Tomato Ketchup.
HEINZ VEGAN SALAD CREAM
You might not eat it on a salad (anyone remember Sandwich Cream-gate? 🤔). And no, it’s definitely not made of cream. Fear not, this plant-based beauty still has that same deliciously zingy taste we all know and love. So, dollop it onto your salads (or sandwiches…) at your leisure. Bring on the zing!
HEINZ [SERIOUSLY] GOOD VEGAN MAYO
We don't take ourselves too seriously - but when it comes to our mayo, it's a whole different story. Rich, creamy, irresistibly smooth, oh, and vegan, obvs - we're serious about it all.... We only use quality ingredients with our new [Seriously] Good Vegan Mayo, to make a difference that you can taste in every spoonful. With absolutely no artificial colours or flavours, our new vegan mayo pairs perfectly with everyday foods like sandwiches, salads and chips. We hope you love it just as much as we do.
And that’s not all! The new plant-based mayo range also includes a deliciously garlic-laden [Seriously] Good Vegan Garlic Aioli, as well as a smoky [Seriously] Good Vegan Chilli Mayo for those who like a kick to their condiment.
