2 Heinz Beanz Burgers (Texan)

2 Vegan Brioche burger buns

2 Slices vegan cheese

200g banana blossom

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

150g of Heinz ketchup

50g dark muscovado sugar

30g balsamic vinegar

15g chipotle paste

1 bulb of fennel

1 red apple

1 lemon

Small bunch of chives

100g Heinz Vegan Mayo

250g French fries

Ketchup to serve

METHOD

To make the pulled banana blossom, place your banana blossom in a frying pan. Add paprika, 100g ketchup, balsamic vinegar, chipotle paste and a small dash of water and cook until the banana blossom pulls apart. Then add muscovado sugar and cook until the mixture becomes sticky and the banana blossom is coated in BBQ sauce.

To make the fennel and apple coleslaw, slice fennel and apple extremely thinly, add the zest of 1 lemon, the juice of 1 lemon, chopped chives and mix with vegan mayo.

Grill Heinz Texan Beanz Burger in the oven, add a slice of vegan cheese and melt on top of the vegan burger. Toast the bottom and top of the vegan bun in a grill pan, place the burger on the bottom bun, top with the barbecued pulled banana blossom and the fennel and apple slaw. Place the top brioche bun on top, spike with a large steak knife and serve with air fried french fries and ketchup to serve.
