Heinz Spaghetti

In the beginning
Since 1926 Heinz Spaghetti has been enjoyed, more often than not on toast, by generations of Britons young and not so young. It is now firmly established as part of British everyday life.



Food stuff
Heinz Spaghetti is made from Durum wheat pasta and juicy, tomatoey sauce. All our varieties of Spaghetti are low in fat, low in sugar and free from preservatives, added colours and flavours.

Top trivia
Heinz Spaghetti adds freshly made spaghetti. Pasta makers snip the freshly made spaghetti directly into the can moments before being topped up with our rich, tomatoey sauce and sealed tight to keep in the freshness.

Milestones

  • 1926: Heinz Spaghetti is imported to the UK from the US and Canada.
  • 1930: Spaghetti is made for the first time at our Harlesden site.
  • 1953: Heinz Spaghetti Hoops launched.
  • 1965: Heinz Ravioli is launched.
  • 2005: Heinz relaunches Alphabetti Spaghetti into the UK market.

Alphabetti Spaghetti is back! After a 15-year gap, popular demand has brought the childhood favourite back onto our shelves. And, for even more fun, we have also launched three new shaped spaghetti products for children – Funky Fish, Space Spaghetti and Spaghetti Head. Not only do they look fun and taste great, but they are also made with multigrain pasta, making them the healthiest of their kind on the market.
