Turning ingredients into products
Manufacturing turns raw ingredients into the numerous and varied
Heinz products you'll see on supermarket shelves. That involves a
wide range of tasks from taking flat tin plate and turning it into
one of the 900 million cans for beans or soup, to producing frozen
or chilled desserts.
Across our many manufacturing sites, we employ a wide range of
skills from process operators to electrical and mechanical
technicians. Together, they take the lead on implementing
Continuous Improvement techniques aimed at making our business more
efficient and keeping us at the forefront of process and
manufacturing developments.
Manufacturing is in essence the engine room of the business, and
you'll be working hand in hand with all other functions: with
R&D, for example, on new product development; or with Finance
perhaps on a business plan. All while managing people, budgets and
specific detailed projects
