Supporting our products
Our Engineering function supports the primary process of
manufacturing our products. This means we set policy, strategy and
standards for the equipment we use and how everything will be
designed and maintained.
Part of this involves ensuring that we comply with legislation
covering areas such as pressure systems, LOLER regulations, PUWER
and LEV.
It's also down to us to maintain the life cycle of the land
buildings services (water, gas, power, steam, etc.) and processing
equipment of the facility. We do this through design, installation,
inspection, repair and improvement - until final replacement, when
the cycle starts again.
We also operate a comprehensive, multi-level training programme
that takes everyone - from school leavers to graduates and mature
students - through a learning experience in a real world, fast
paced environment.
