Peter from Bedford writes...
"I wanted to express my delight and suprise at seeing 'salt flashes' upon my all-time-favourite Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup. I always try and eat healthily but never really took the time to check out the nutritional information. Well done for highlighting this to me! I am especially impressed by the low-level of salt in this product."
Heinz Replies...
"At Heinz we have an on-going commitment to reducing the salt in our products as part of our mission to help you eat Good Food Every Day. In the last year alone we've used 19% less salt across all our canned foods. Now that you have checked out 'the salt level' look out for the nutritional flashes we are rolling out on all Heinz Soup ranges."

Sydney from Cleethorpes asks...
"How can there be 126g of tomatoes per 100g of Heinz Tomato Ketchup?"
Heinz Replies...
The tomatoes used in Heinz Tomato Ketchup lose water when cooked, that is why Heinz Tomato Ketchup is so rich and tomatoey. Thus to make 100g of Heinz Tomato Ketchup we use 126g of tomatoes.
For Heinz Tomato Ketchup this means we declare ‘126g of tomatoes per 100g ketchup’

I have recently had to convert my diet to 'gluten free'. I love Heinz Baked Beanz and I know they are free from gluten but I am not sure on the rest of your products as some do not say on the labels. I would be so grateful if you could send me a list of your products that are 'gluten free'. P.S. I thought your Heinz 'super bean' television advert wass brilliant !!!"

Beate from Suessen, Germany asks...
"I'm from Germany and my favourite Heinz product is the Salad Cream. My problem is I can't buy it in Germany. A lot of Heinz products are available but not "my" Salad Cream.
Whenever I have the chance to travel to England or the Channel Islands I take several bottles home to Germany. On my flights back to Germany, the airline always has to put a label " Heavy Luggage" on my suitcase. That's funny but I never told anybody the reason why my luggage is so heavy and the custom officers never wanted a check. Maybe you can help me finding Salad Cream because there is no comparable brand in Germany."
Heinz Replies...
"Unfortinately we don't currently export Heinz Salad Cream, our advise is to keep filling your suitcase whenever you visit the UK!"

Sandeep from Birmingham writes...
"What does 57 varieties stand for on Heinz labels?"
Heinz Replies...
"Back in the 19th century in the U.S., Henry J. Heinz was riding the New York railway one day when he noticed an advertisement for a shoe company. It boasted that it offered a choice of 21 styles. He considered this and started to count all the products that the Heinz company was producing and settled on 57 (although there were far more than this at the time). Hence the birth of 57 varieties."
