"Without hesitation I would recommend Heinz as an excellent place to work and the perfect place to launch a career in FMCG."
I remember the first time I walked through the doors at Heinz, sat nervously in reception trying to work out my first impressions, was this the right company for me? Would I fit in? Then I saw one of the Heinz motto's ahead- "positive people- positive action". From that moment on, that message stayed with me. I was sold on the company by the people, from human resource employees, the managers, previous graduates the lot. I knew from that day that Heinz was the place to work based on the people they were attracting and the ambitious plans of the company. Before the day I liked the job, by the end I loved it.
I've been in the infant feeding team for a little over three months, and the time has flown. It's easy to not see past beans and ketchup when you think Heinz but I couldn't ask for a more challenging area. The output of new NPD in this area exceeds anywhere else in the business, which means its fast paced, remarkably testing but a great challenge. I'm currently managing one of our fastest growing brands Globe Totters, a portfolio of international recipes from around the world and in the process of pulling together a brand strategy to continue the growth and take the brand onto the next level. Again this is a massive challenge but one that has so much potential for the product and for my exposure.
Outside of the day to day work, for a graduate scheme I couldn't have asked for more. We get exposure to different areas of the business, from working on cross functional projects, visiting our factory at Kitt Green, to trips to Milan to talk to our research and development team. Heinz have done exceptional work in recruiting a brilliant team of graduates with very similar mindsets and gives work that crucial social dimension.
Without hesitation I would recommend Heinz as an excellent place to work and the perfect place to launch a career in FMCG.
